Australian model Ellidy Pullin recently shared that she gave birth to a child 15 months after becoming pregnant with her husband’s post-mortem sperm.

The Sun reported on June 4 that professional swimsuit model Ellidy Pullin had given birth to a “miracle” baby, sparking much discussion online.

Ellidy’s husband tragically drowned in July 2020 due to a shallow water blackout while spearfishing.

Alex “Chumpy” Pullin, Ellidy’s late husband, was an Australian national snowboarder who competed in the Winter Olympics three times (2010, 2014, and 2018). He was 32 years old at the time of his death.

The Pullins were trying to have a child, and Ellidy decided to use her late husband’s sperm for in vitro fertilization less than 12 hours after his death.

After two rounds of IVF, Ellidy gave birth to Alex’s child, and in October 2021, she gave birth to Minnie Alex Pullin.

Ellidy shared her emotions, stating, “It’s heartbreaking to know how great of a father he could have been, and now he can’t see our daughter.” She continued by explaining that at the time of the post-mortem sperm collection, Alex’s sperm was still healthy and viable, which enabled them to have a daughter, adding that they were fortunate in this regard.

She shared on social media,” She looks like him. […] I’m gonna see him in her eyes.”
