Music critic Jung Min Jae has faced a backlash from fans after criticizing Suga for driving under the influence.

Jung posted on his personal account on the 15th, stating, “The level of harassment from this fandom is beyond imagination,” revealing that he has received malicious comments from some fans.

Jung further noted, “I received an international call earlier, and now someone is attempting to change the password on my account. Just because my favorite artist suddenly found himself in legal trouble doesn’t make Suga’s DUI disappear. Keep trying if you wish.” He shared a photo of a notification from his service indicating an attempt to access his account.

In an interview with The Korea Times, Jung commented, “Regardless of whether he leaves the group, it will be challenging for him to regain public trust and continue his activities smoothly if he stays.” After the interview, he remarked, “Following the interview, some fans have been flooding my account and email demanding an apology. Maybe it’s Suga who should be the one apologizing. Get a grip.”

After Jung criticized Suga’s drunk driving, some international fans objected by posting comments and emailing Jung’s account. They targeted his wife’s account with malicious comments such as “Divorce your husband” and “Why is your husband harassing Suga?” However, there were also mixed responses, including apologies from other fans and expressions of gratitude for Jung’s honest critique.

Meanwhile, on the night of the 6th, Suga was found by police after drinking and falling off an electric scooter near his residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan. His blood alcohol content was reported at 0.227%, well above the legal limit of 0.08%. Suga is currently coordinating his schedule for a summons investigation.
