Starship Entertainment announced Tuesday that I.M of the K-pop group Monsta X has been forced to halt activities due to a back injury. The singer will be absent from upcoming group events, including the highly anticipated KCON LA 2025 on August 2. This announcement comes on the heels of his recent withdrawal from a solo appearance at Waterbomb Busan 2025 last week.
Despite this setback, Monsta X is still on track for a full group comeback on September 1 with their 13th EP, “The X.” Fans got an early taste of the new mini-album during a recent concert in Seoul, where the six-member group debuted “Fire & Ice,” a track penned by bandmate Hyungwon.
The upcoming three-day live event and EP release are set to commemorate a significant milestone for Monsta X—their 10-year journey in the music industry.
