Brad Pitt expressed anger and sadness over the news of his daughter dropping his surname.

“He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter,” a media outlet reported.

“The reminders that he’s lost his children is, of course, not easy for Brad,” it added.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh applied for a name change to remove “Pitt” from her name as soon as she turned 18 last month.

The news that Shiloh recently hired a lawyer with her own money to apply for a legal name change became a topic of discussion.

Vivian and Zahara have also been writing their names as Vivian Jolie and Zahara Marley Jolie, excluding Pitt’s name in official places.

Once a representative Hollywood couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie started a divorce lawsuit in 2016.

Jolie made headlines by claiming domestic violence by Brad Pitt.

The two had a fierce legal battle over child custody, eventually agreeing to joint custody, but the children have allegedly been avoiding Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara (all adopted), Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox (all biological).
