JAKARTA, Indonesia, July 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, (IDX: BBRI), has reached a new milestone in its global standing, securing top honors in the 2025 Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list. BRI emerges as the highest-performing financial institution from Indonesia and claims the 4th spot in the Southeast Asian financial sector.

Ranking 14th among Southeast Asia’s 500 largest corporations by revenue, BRI now stands shoulder to shoulder with the region’s corporate giants. The bank has outpaced well-known names like Singapore’s SEA and Singapore Airlines, Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Foods, and Malaysia’s Maybank.

This achievement is a testament to BRI’s stellar financial performance over the past year. Fortune’s official report reveals that BRI posted a consolidated revenue of USD 17.68 billion for the fiscal year, marking an impressive 18.6% year-on-year growth by the end of 2024.

The Fortune Southeast Asia 500 2025, now in its second year, ranks the largest companies in Southeast Asia based on revenue as of December 31, 2024. The data undergoes rigorous verification, backed by global research powerhouses such as LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), Bloomberg, and S&P Global Market Intelligence.

This year’s edition also underscores Southeast Asia’s rising strategic importance in global supply chain shifts and the rapid growth of industries like mining, electric vehicles (EVs), and artificial intelligence (AI).

BRI President Director Hery Gunardi views this recognition as clear evidence of BRI’s unwavering commitment to maintaining robust performance fundamentals amid global economic turbulence. He believes this accolade will further drive the company to bolster BRI’s presence both at home and abroad.

\”BRI’s evolution into a universal banking institution is our strategic response,\” Gunardi explained. \”We’re not just aiming to be the top bank for the MSME segment, but to serve the entire spectrum of customer needs – from individuals to large corporations – across all socioeconomic levels.\”

Gunardi also expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all Insan BRILiaN (BRI employees) and loyal customers. \”I’m incredibly proud of this achievement,\” he said. \”We dedicate this honor to our Insan BRILiaN for their exceptional work, and to our loyal customers for their unwavering trust in BRI.\”
