The Korea Heritage Service’s Royal Palaces and Tombs Center, in collaboration with the Korea Heritage Agency, is set to deliver valuable cultural enrichment to underserved communities. This fall, a distinguished event will be held at Korea’s splendid royal palaces, offering an opportunity to explore the nation’s regal history.

Approximately 980 participants will have the chance to experience an enchanting nighttime tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace and enjoy traditional herbal tea. As one of Seoul’s five major palaces from the Joseon era (1392-1910), it stands at the heart of the city.

Applications for this royal experience are now open and will be accepted until July 30 via the KHA’s website. Selected participants will be announced on August 14, with personal notifications to follow.

This cultural initiative is open to individuals with disabilities, members of multicultural or low-income families, residents of rural and fishing communities, as well as veterans, ensuring that those who might not normally have access to such opportunities can partake in this experience.

Additionally, the “Taste of Suragan” tea program will allow 700 participants to immerse themselves in royal court cuisine, under the theme “See, eat, enjoy, and be moved by the culture of the royal court.” This event is scheduled from September 10 to 14.

Furthermore, the Gyeongbokgung Starlight Night Tour promises an exceptional experience. Participants will dine on traditional Korean delicacies in Sojubang (the historic royal kitchen), accompanied by traditional Korean music and expert commentary, bringing the experience vividly to life. This tour will host 250 participants from October 13 to November 3.

For further information, please visit the official KHS website. Do not miss this opportunity to engage with Korea’s distinguished royal heritage.
