Sweden’s ‘Liseberg Theme Park’ is set to open a water park in which they have invested a total of $168 million.

 Foreign media outlets such as The Sun reported that the ‘Liseberg Water Park’ in Sweden, which began construction in 2020, is set to open this coming summer. (The Sun) 2020 ‘Liseberg Water Park’ .

Liseberg Water Park boasts a total of 14 attractions. Among them, the ‘Slide Serpent’ attraction is 13 meters (approximately 43 feet) in length, setting the record for the highest drop rate in the world. (13m)

In addition to the attractions, the water park also offers a variety of entertainment options including a splash pad for young children and a wave pool. The exact opening date and ticket prices have not yet been disclosed.

Liseberg Theme Park, where the water park is located, is in Gothenburg the second-largest city in Sweden. It’s one of the cities where tourism has significantly decreased due to COVID-19. A representative from Liseberg Theme Park stated, “We aim to accommodate over 500,000 visitors annually and help revitalize Gothenburg’s tourism industry.”
