If you’re a fan of Hong Kong cinema, you could truly enjoy a trip to Hong Kong by visiting places from the movies.
Hong Kong has many places where travelers can feel the old atmosphere.
However, many of these places have closed due to COVID-19, causing a sense of loss.

The ‘Goldfinch Restaurant’ in Hong Kong was featured in the movie ‘In the Mood for Love’.
It was a popular spot that brought to mind Leslie Cheung and Maggie Cheung, where you could enjoy the old Hong Kong vibe.
It was a restaurant where you could taste the Western cuisine of Hong Kong, boasting a history of 60 years.
However, its closure has caused much disappointment among many people.

‘Lin Heung Tea House’ is a famous dim sum house in Hong Kong with a 104-year tradition.
Opened in 1918, it was a famous restaurant that adhered to traditional methods.

However, it closed its doors in 2022 due to difficulties in operation caused by the spread of COVID-19.
At the time, they conveyed through their official SNS, “We did our best, but due to the worsening business conditions caused by COVID-19, we had to close. Thank you for your support over the years.”

It was also popular among the younger generation in Hong Kong and often appeared on social media.
The Rainbow Apartment became famous as the filming location for the music video of the group SEVENTEEN.

However, the Hong Kong government announced the redevelopment of the Rainbow Apartment, which will soon disappear.
The redevelopment of the apartment is expected to take about 15 years.
As it’s a place that has been around for a long time, the residents are welcoming the news of redevelopment.
