Mercedes-Benz surprised many consumers by releasing the AMG CLA 45 S Edition 1. The vehicle was painted matte gray, and some parts of the car were painted orange to give it a sophisticated design. Additionally, the AMG aerodynamics package is said to be provided as standard.

Mercedes-Benz announced that only 25 AMG CLA 45 S Edition 1 units will be produced and sold. Due to its high rarity, many people are already wanting to purchase the vehicle. Meanwhile, the car is said to have surprised people again with its higher price than expected.

Matte Gray Magno Paint Finish
AMG Aerodynamics Package Provided

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLA 45 S Edition 1 features Mountain Gray Magno paint with a matte finish. The orange AMG logo with a checkered flag graphic along the sedan silhouette stands out. The same orange color was applied to the front splitter, dive plane, intake vanes, side mirrors, and rear diffuser. Additionally, the AMG aerodynamic package is said to be provided as standard.

The vehicle will have matte black 19-inch wheels and red brake calipers. The AMG Performance Seat Package is provided as standard, with suniqueorange trim and contrast stitching added. The same color, orange stitching, can also be seen on the dashboard, and the model name is engraved on the headrests.

Turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Engine
Produces 416 Horsepower and 376 Foot-Pounds of Torque

Mercedes-Benz AMG CLA 45 S Edition 1 will be equipped with the same turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine installed in the existing model. The engine produces 416 horsepower and 51kgf.m of torque and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission to transmit power to all four wheels. Additionally, this edition takes only 4 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h ( 62 mph).

Unfortunately, Mercedes-Benz AMG CLA 45 S Edition 1 will only be launched in the U.S., and only 25 units will be produced and sold. The vehicle’s starting price is estimated to be approximately $82,345. This is a significant increase from the regular 45 S Premium starting price, which is approximately $66,500.

Despite its High Price
Why it Received So Much Love

The Mercedes-Benz AMG CLA 45 S Edition 1 received so much attention as soon as it was unveiled because of the sophisticated orange accents found throughout the vehicle and the various high-end specifications inside the car. In addition, it has excellent performance. Mercedes-Benz AMG CLA 45 S Edition 1 captured the hearts of consumers despite its high price by showing performance comparable to that of other supercars.

Meanwhile, the next-generation CLA class is expected to be launched in late 2024 or early 2025, and it has been confirmed that testing is currently underway as a prototype. It has been reported that the new CLA class will be launched as a hybrid and electric model, raising consumer expectations.
