A woman has been sentenced to jail for distributing a video showing her 17-year-old daughter engaged in sexual activities with her husband. After divorcing her first husband, the woman was raising her two daughters alone before she remarried. Driven by anger, she instructed her daughter to send her the video, which she then forwarded to her relatives. Reportedly, the woman hoped that sharing the footage would prompt her relatives to join her in condemning the actions of her daughter and husband.

Shocked to receive the video, one of the relatives submitted the video to the police to protect their 17-year-old niece.

The woman pleaded guilty at the Tainan District Court, resulting in a 4-month prison sentence and 2-year suspension.

The court stated that she had violated the law against distributing and transmitting child pornography.

This controversial incident sparked debate among the online community in Taiwan. Some questioned the root cause of the problem and asked if the husband was also receiving punishment for his actions. Others expressed that the woman should have shown more restraint, condemning her action of hastily sending the video to family members.
