Hanni, a member of the popular girl group NewJeans, has confirmed her attendance at an upcoming National Assembly audit focusing on workplace harassment issues at HYBE.

Last night, Hanni announced her decision on the fan community platform: “I’ve made my decision. I will go to the National Assembly. I will attend the audit alone.”

In response to fans expressing concern for her well-being, Hanni reassured them, saying, “You don’t have to worry. I’m doing this for myself, the members, and our Bunnies.” She added, “It’s not difficult. I want to go,” noting, “My managers and the company don’t know yet. I’ve thought a lot about it, but I believe going is the right decision.”

She expressed, “I wonder if I can say this, but I want to learn from this experience. I believe it will be a valuable learning opportunity for me, which is part of why I want to go.” Hanni also mentioned her gratitude to fans: “I’m very grateful to the fans and always appreciate their support.”

Hanni is set to attend the National Assembly audit as a witness on the 15th. The Environment and Labor Committee previously selected her and Kim Joo Young, the Chief Human Resources Officer at HYBE, as witnesses for the upcoming proceedings.

Last month, during a live stream with NewJeans members, Hanni claimed that a manager from another HYBE label told her to “ignore” her. The label in question, Belift Lab, vehemently denied the allegations, stating, “We demand an end to attempts to defame new artists with unfounded rumors.” They further clarified that the manager did not instruct anyone to ignore NewJeans members and emphasized that Belift Lab members have consistently acknowledged and greeted their peers in NewJeans.
