BEIJING, July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Third China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) launched today in Beijing, marking a significant milestone in global trade relations. During the opening ceremony, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and key figures from the international business community unveiled the Beijing Initiative for the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo.
{vi4}The event drew an impressive roster of speakers, including South African Deputy President Paul Mashatile, Thailand’s Deputy Permanent Secretary of Commerce Ekachat Seetavorarat, and tech mogul Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. Other notable attendees were John W.H. Denton, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce, Sherard Cowper-Coles, Chair of the China-Britain Business Council, and Liao Lin, Chairman of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). Over 1,100 participants from more than 100 countries, regions, and international organizations gathered, representing a diverse cross-section of governments, private sectors, academia, and civil society.
{vi6} CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin, who presided over the ceremony, emphasized the Expo’s evolution. This year’s event boasts wider international participation, a more refined supply chain structure, and a heightened focus on innovation. Ren called on the global business community to rally behind the World Trade Organization’s multilateral trade system through active engagement and collaboration. He reaffirmed CCPIT’s commitment to supporting both domestic and international companies, preserving the global public good nature of industrial and supply chains, and fostering an open global economy and shared future for humanity.
{vi8}The 3rd CISCE, hosted by CCPIT, runs from July 16 to 20 under the theme {vi12}”Connecting the World for a Shared Future”{vi14}. The event has garnered support from five major international organizations: the UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the International Trade Centre (ITC), and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
{vi16}Thailand takes center stage as the Guest Country of Honor, while China’s Shandong and Guangdong provinces share the spotlight as Guest Provinces of Honor. The Expo showcases six key industrial chains and a dedicated exhibition area: Advanced Manufacturing, Smart Vehicles, Green Agriculture, Clean Energy, Digital Technology, Healthy Life, and Supply Chain Services. A total of 651 companies and organizations from 75 countries and regions are participating, offering a glimpse into cutting-edge technologies, products, and services across the entire supply chain spectrum. Notably, international exhibitors constitute a significant 35 percent of the total participants, underscoring the event’s global appeal.
