Netizens are in shock as news has spread that a Chinese research team is currently developing a variant of the coronavirus with a 100% fatality rate.

American media outlets, including the New York Post, reported on the 18th that researchers from the Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing PLA General Hospital, and Nanjing Medical University have jointly manufactured a coronavirus named GX_P2V.

According to the report, GX_P2V is a modified version of the coronavirus first discovered in Cheonsan Gap, Malaysia, in late 2017. It is so lethal that all four test mice died within eight days.

The virus injected into the test mice infected various organs, including their lungs, bones, eyes, and brains, then moved to the brain. They showed symptoms ranging from rapid weight loss to body deformation and behavioral retardation. Shockingly, the mice’s eyes turned completely white.

The New York Post described this as “creepy,” Professor Gennadi Glinsky of Stanford Medical School warned, “This madness must be stopped before too late.”

People who came across this news expressed their outrage, saying, “China is self-certifying as the origin of the coronavirus,” “Why on earth are they doing this,” and “They are enemies of the whole world at this point.”
