HYBE Becomes the First Korean Entertainment Company to Cross 2 Trillion Won Annual Sales Threshold

HYBE has become the first Korean entertainment company to reach a yearly consolidated sales of 2 trillion won.

HYBE officially announced on the 26th that its annual consolidated revenue last year increased by 22.6% from the previous year, recording 2.1781 trillion won. Business profit rose by 24.9% from the previous year to 295.8 billion won, and net profit reached 186.6 billion won, showing a surge of 288.5% from the previous year.

According to type, participation sales increased by 51.4% from the previous year to 1.4715 trillion won, while indirect participation sales recorded 706.6 billion won, down by 12.1% from the previous year.

Among the direct participation sales, album and music sales in the blooming K-pop market surged 75.8% from the previous year to 970.5 billion won, and performance sales reached 359.1 billion won, showing a 39.1% increase from the previous year.

However, indirect participation sales decreased by 17.7% from the previous year in merchandise products (MD) and licensing, and content also decreased by 15.1% compared to the previous year.

HYBE explained, “The results reflect the successes from various tours, including BTS SUGA’s tour, which sold out every show, SEVENTEEN’s “Follow” tour, TOMORROW X TOGETHER and ENHYPEN’s first North American stadium and Japanese dome tours, and LE SSERAFIM’s first world tour.”
