‘Parasite’ Star Faces Drug Allegations: Another Celebrity on the Radar

As actor Lee Sun-kyun becomes a suspect of drug abuse, suspicions have been raised that another celebrity has also been abusing drugs.

On the 25th, Gyeonggi News reported that the Incheon Police Department had received information that another celebrity, besides actor Lee Sun-Kyun, has been abusing drugs and is currently under investigation.

According to the report, whether the celebrity under investigation is an actor or a broadcaster has not been confirmed. However, the person was identified as a well-known figure to the public.

A police official confirmed that “it is true that a celebrity is under investigation” but added, “We cannot provide any more detailed information as it is an ongoing investigation.”

Previously, on the 19th, it was revealed that Lee Sun-kyun was under investigation for drug abuse allegations. At the time, he pledged to cooperate fully with the investigation, stating, “I have filed a complaint against the person involved in this case for threatening me.”

On the 23rd, Lee Sun-kyun was formally transitioned to a suspect status. Since the beginning of this year, He has been accused of using drugs at the home of entertainment business employee A. The applied charges are under the laws related to drug management, including marijuana and psychotropic drugs.

In addition to Lee Sun-kyun, composer Jeong, in his 30s and a former broadcaster, aspiring entertainer Han Seo-hee, and Hwang Ha-na, the granddaughter of the founder of Namyang Dairy Products, are also under investigation.

After being transitioned to a suspect status, Lee Sun-kyun’s side stated, “We will fully cooperate with the investigation if contacted.” In response to questions about whether he acknowledges the allegations, he said, “I will speak to the investigative agency first.”

Following Lee Sun-kyun, concerns continue over the impact on the entertainment industry as drug allegations against another celebrity have been raised.
