Following his breakout role in the internationally acclaimed film “Past Lives,” actor Teo Yoo continues to build his global presence.

In “Past Lives,” Yoo’s performance of Haesung, a man driven to New York City to maintain his bond with Nayoung, captivated global audiences. This critically acclaimed role follows the film’s impressive trajectory: A record-breaking 78 wins and 219 nominations at major film awards worldwide, an official selection of the prestigious 73rd Berlin International Film Festival, and nominations for Best Picture and Screenplay at the 96th Academy Awards.

Yoo’s nomination for Best Actor at the BAFTA Awards marked a historic moment, making him the first Korean actor to achieve this feat. Standing alongside established international stars, Yoo solidified his place in the global film industry, attending the 96th Academy Awards alongside director Celine Song.

Riding a wave of international acclaim, Yoo confirmed joining the cast of Netflix’s hit series “The Recruit” for its second season.

“Past Lives,” starring Teo Yoo, plays in theaters nationwide.
