Dawon rose to stardom in 2016 as a member of WJSN, a girl group launched under Starship Entertainment. The group has garnered immense love for their string of hit songs, including “MoMoMo,” “Happy,” “I Wish,” “Dreams Come True,” “Save Me, Save You,” and “As You Wish.”
In March of last year, Starship Entertainment announced contract renewals for eight members of WJSN: Exy, Seola, Bona, Soobin, Eunseo, Yeoreum, Dayoung, and Yeonjung. After extensive discussion, the agency also stated that they had mutually decided to end exclusive contracts with Luda and Dawon.
