Actress Ra Mi Ran Takes a Stand Against Photoshop: Embracing Realism in Cosmo Shoot

Actress Ra Mi Ran has requested that photo retouching be minimized for her photoshoots.

Cosmopolitan magazine released Ra’s pictorial and interview on March 26.

The photo shoot unveils Ra’s versatility. She rocks a trench coat, a dramatic puff dress, and more. In a powerful pose, she sits in a black suit, holding a high heel, her expression stoic and confident.

She is also seen wearing a blue sleeveless dress, making a pouty expression, or flashing a broad smile.

Ra’s candid interview accompanying her pictorial sheds light on the duality of fame. She acknowledges the public’s perception of a glamorous life but emphasizes the hidden reality of humility that comes with being a celebrity.

She also expressed a desire for a more realistic portrayal of female celebrities. She openly shared, “Today’s shoot reminded me that finding clothes that truly fit can be challenging, even for someone in my profession. While stylists and photo editors create a flawless final image, it wouldn’t be ideal if that’s audiences’ only perception.”

Ra suggested that for the next photo shoot, they should plan to capture her natural appearance, such as showing her belly rolls or unflattering angles.

In response to Ra’s request, Cosmopolitan stated, “We minimized retouching for this photo shoot.”

A veteran actress of 49 years, Ra Mi Ran recently appeared in the film “Citizen of a Kind” and is currently gracing the television screens on tvN’s “Europe Outside Your Tent: Southern France”.
