A cafe owned by Taiwanese broadcaster Sandy Wu (33) was the target of an attack by an unidentified man.

Foreign media 8 World reported on March 27 that two men targeted the cafe, and the police are tracking the identity of the perpetrators.

Two unidentified men vandalized Wu’s AMBI-CAFÉ. The men, dressed in black, stormed into the cafe and smashed tables and chairs with baseball bats, intimidating the customers. They then abandoned their weapons and fled the scene. Fortunately, reports indicate Sandy was not present during the incident.

Taiwanese police announced, “We are currently tracking the identity of the two men. We are considering the possibility that they broke in for monetary reasons.”

Sandy’s manager confirmed she was unharmed during the vandalism at her cafe. Her father, a singer and presenter, Jacky Wu, stated they are currently evaluating the situation and will provide updates if necessary.

News of the vandalism at Wu’s AMBI-CAFÉ spread quickly on social media, sparking concern and outrage. Viewers expressed their well-being for those affected with comments like: “Hoping for a swift apprehension of the culprit,” “Sending well wishes to the customers who were there,” “Anxiously awaiting news on the motive behind this attack,” and “Wishing Sandy strength as she deals with this situation.”

This isn’t the first time the establishment has been targeted. In 2018, it also fell victim to an attack. Her father, Jacky Wu, theorized at the time that the cafe’s popularity might have incited jealousy.

Sandy Wu married in 2022 and has one child.
