Adult actress Ema Yano is sparking discussion after sharing her experiences as a gravure idol during her teenage years.

Shūkan Bunshun published a full interview with Yano, reporting that she is not ashamed of her past as a gravure model.

When asked by the media, “Didn’t you feel uncomfortable shooting in a swimsuit in front of many people during your sensitive minor years?” Yano coolly responded, “I did not have such feelings.”

Yano stated, “(The swimsuit shoot) was fine. I didn’t know much about sex at the time,” and “Rather, I thought ‘I’m glad I can work,’ ‘I want to work in any way.’ I didn’t care about the income and enjoyed the exposure work.”

In the interview, Yano also revealed her complicated family history. She said, “I’ve lived with my stepfather since I was three. To me, my stepfather is like my real father,” expressing her affection for her stepfather. Yano mentioned, “When I was in middle school, my mother divorced my stepfather,” and “Even after the divorce, my mother and stepfather often met, and my stepfather recorded all the TV programs I appeared in.”

Yano, who has longed for the entertainment industry since her childhood, said, “I recorded the drama “Boys Over Flowers” and repeated the lines many times,” and “When I was young, I wanted to act. I dreamed of becoming an idol after watching the group AKB48.”

Yano debuted in the entertainment industry at the age of 15, appearing in various magazines and broadcast shows.
