The famous Japanese YouTuber Amaneko has drawn attention by gifting a new car to the person who crashed into her expensive car.

On April 7, Amaneko revealed on her channel that she was gifting a new car to the person rear-ended her.

Amaneko felt relieved after watching the person happily ride in the gifted car. “I feel very refreshed and good,” she said.

In December last year, Amaneko was rear-ended by a vehicle while waiting for her turn in front of a highway tollgate.

In a January interview, Amaneko opened up about the car accident. She explained that the other driver, who relied on their car daily, faced a difficult situation. Even if they bought a new car without insurance, their premiums wouldn’t decrease. This situation led Amaneko to consider gifting them a car, but one that would fall within the deductible range for gift tax.

Amaneko announced on February 17 through a video that she had purchased a Toyota Vitz car to gift to the person.

Upon the video’s release, viewers reacted with comments like, “As expected of Amaneko, she’s kind,” “It’s fine if the two people have agreed,” and “Her heart is beautiful too.”

Some criticized her unusual response, with comments such as “Does it make sense to gift a car to the perpetrator?”, “It’s fine to gift, but I don’t understand why she has to announce it through a video,” and “I’ve never heard of such a compensatory measure for the perpetrator.”
