Artist and producer Zico and BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s new concept photos that emerged online to promote his latest song are garnering attention.
On April 22, Zico posted the photos of his digital single “SPOT! (feat. JENNIE)” on his social media. In the revealed photo, Zico and Jennie exude a unique atmosphere with their sophisticated attire, showcasing their status as icons representing the era.
Ahead of the digital single release, Zico has been raising fans’ expectations by revealing photos and videos of the working process with Jennie. A concept photo of Zico’s version is expected to be released on April 23, followed by the music video teaser and behind-the-scenes footage on April 25 and the highly anticipated song and music video on April 26.
Zico shared his work experience and behind-the-scenes stories with Jennie during a live social media broadcast. Zico didn’t hold back on his praise, saying, “Jennie gave her all from the recording stage. Her professionalism was so palpable that she suggested another try even when I was satisfied. Jennie made this song perfect.”
Regarding the new song, he revealed his confidence by sharing, “I’ve been working continuously, but it’s been a year and nine months since I released a song under my name. I hope my fans are patient and look forward to the launch.”
He is set to meet the public through KBS’s late-night music talk show The Seasons – Zico’s Artist. First introduced in February of last year, The Seasons is a late-night music show operated on a seasonal basis. Starting with Jay Park’s Drive, followed by Choi Jeong Hoon’s Night Park, The Seasons: Long Day, Long Night with AKMU, and Lee Hyo-ri’s Red Carpet, each season has attracted attention, with distinctive artists taking the helm.
The Seasons – Zico’s Artist will air its first episode on KBS at 10 PM on April 26.
