Unexpected Removal: Zheng Naixin Out of Music Festival After Love Confession

TV Report Views

Chinese idol singer Zheng Naixin (26) has been removed from a festival lineup following her dating news with Thai actor Bright (26).

On the 25th (local time), foreign media outlet 8 World reported that Zheng Naixin, a former member of the group BonBon Girls 303, was excluded from the lineup of the Guangzhou Music Festival (hereafter referred to as the festival) after acknowledging her relationship.

Zheng Naixin was scheduled to perform at the festival on the 27th. However, netizens discovered that her name had been removed from the festival lineup after she admitted to the relationship.

Netizens couldn’t hide their bewilderment at the sudden removal of her name. They reacted, “Was she excluded just two days before the festival?”, “Dating isn’t wrong, is it?” “Zheng Naixin is not a child. She can date if she wants to”, “This is an outdated response”.

Some supported Zheng Naixin’s non-participation in the festival, saying, “For her own sake, it’s better not to attend this festival,” and “If you’re going to date, you have to accept this kind of thing.”

Previously, on the 21st, Zheng Naixin was engulfed in dating rumors when she was spotted on a date in Japan with Thai actor Bright. The two admitted to their relationship via social media.

Zheng Naixin admitted to the relationship, saying, “I’ve been focusing on spreading positive energy through music and performances, so I tend to separate my personal life from my music activities,” “We support each other during hard times and celebrate together in happy times. Knowing that there’s someone to support and comfort me when I fall, I’m no longer afraid of being discouraged”.

Meanwhile, Bright and Zheng Naixin connected through the 2020 drama Boyfriends. Bright rose to stardom through this drama.

Zheng Naixin was selected as a member of the idol group BonBon Girls 303 through the 2020 Chinese girl group survival program, Produce Camp 2020.
