Actor couple Won Bin and Lee Na Young recently ended their contracts with Dongseo Food Corporation.
According to an exclusive report by The Korea Economic Daily on April 26, Won Bin, who served as the model for Maxim T.O.P coffee, ended his advertising contract at the end of January.
Won Bin has been the long-standing model for Maxim T.O.P for about 16 years since 2008. During this time, Won Bin has worked with famous actresses such as Shin Mina, Yoo In Na, Shin Hyun Bin, and Cha Ye Ryun.
In a 2010 advertisement, Won Bin’s line, “If you were just coffee, then this person is my T.O.P,” became a trend.
In response, Won Bin’s agency Eden9 stated, “We need to confirm,” and refrained from further commenting on the contract termination.
A Dongsuh Food Corporation official confirmed, “It’s true that the advertising contract with Won Bin for Maxim T.O.P has ended. Nothing has been decided regarding the follow-up Maxim T.O.P advertisement,” they told the media.
Previously, on April 25, Dongsuh Food Corporation replaced Lee Na Young, who had been the model of the representative domestic coffee mix Maxim Mocha Gold for 24 years, with actress Park Bo Young.
Won Bin has been on a hiatus for 14 years since his 2010 film The Man from Nowhere, sparking curiosity.
Won Bin and Lee Na Young have had a son since marriage in 2015.
