Despite showcasing intense scenes in the movie Touch, Koki, a model and actress who is the daughter of Japanese superstar Kimura Takuya, is not drawing attention in Japan.

On the 29th, Weekly Women Prime reported that the movie Touch, featuring model and actress Koki, is not garnering much interest in Japan.

Recently, the trailer for Touch was released.

Koki exchanges tender physical affection with her co-star Palme Kolmaukl in the released trailer. The two are depicted lying together in bed, creating a romantic atmosphere. Palme Kolmaukl tenderly strokes Koki’s shoulder, sending her a loving gaze. Moreover, the pair continues their deep physical contact with a kiss in front of a window.

The trailer for the movie Touch was released on the 24th through the official channel of the film company Focus Features. It has recorded approximately 4.8 million views five days after its release, receiving much attention overseas. However, there is hardly any reaction in Japan.

An anonymous film critic stated, “In the trailer, Koki shows kissing scenes and bed scenes with her co-star Palmi Kolmauckl. There might be even more intense physical scenes in the full movie,” praising Koki’s bold challenge. A sports reporter hinted at a potential box office failure, saying, “Although the trailer for Touch is being reported, there are hardly any comments, and no one is mentioning it on social media.”

Another film critic explained that the movie Touch is not receiving attention because it has not been released in Japan. He said, “There are no plans to release it in countries other than Iceland and the United States. That’s why it’s not a hot topic in Japan.”

The movie Touch was filmed in Iceland, the United Kingdom, and Japan and will be released in the United States on July 12.

Meanwhile, Koki, born in 2003, is the daughter of superstar Kimura Takuya and singer Kudo Shizuka.

Koki made her debut as a model in 2018. Just three months after her debut, she was selected as the ambassador for the luxury brand Bulgari, becoming the first Japanese and the youngest in the world to hold this title.

Despite her relatively short height of 170 cm for a model, Koki has faced controversy for walking the runways of luxury brands, and she has been criticized as a product of nepotism.
