Japanese Model Confesses To Only Bath Only Once a Week – Here’s Why

A 22-year-old Japanese model shocked male fans by revealing her unique hygiene habits during a television appearance.

On May 19th, Kogawa appeared on the Nippon TV talk show Legal Office: Advice So Good You Stand in Line (行列のできる相談所) and expressed her views on the “New Understandings of the Reiwa Era,” confessing she understands bathing only once a week.

The show was centered around the theme “New Understandings of the Reiwa Era.” The Reiwa era began in Japan in 2019, following the Heisei era, which lasted from 1989 to 2019.

During the show, members of the younger generation said they bathe or shower once a week. Kogawa represented the younger generation’s stance: “I think it’s okay if you don’t get caught. I think it would be okay if you spray perfume.”

Comedy duo Elf member Arakawa also agreed with Kogawa’s statement, saying, “If a person who dyed their hair shampoos, the hair color fades quickly. I feel it’s a waste to take a bath.”

When show host Koji Higashino asked, “Is it okay for a middle-aged man not to bathe for a week?” Kogawa responded, “I hate it. It’s impossible. It feels dirty,” expressing her discomfort.

Higashino sparked laughter when he retorted, “The dirty ones are the two of you,” referring to Kogawa and Arakawa.

Yuna Kogawa actively works as a magazine model. In 2022, she publicly announced her romance with kickboxing athlete Masami Kumura.
