Celebrity Couple with a 31-Year Gap Share Their Pregnancy Journey

Japanese actress Miki Nishino (25) and comedian duo Gokuraku Tombo member Keiichi Yamamoto (56) have announced their pregnancy. The couple, with a significant age gap of 31 years, is receiving a lot of attention.

On May 21st, Nishino and Yamamoto announced their successful pregnancy through a video titled “Our family is growing!” on Nishino’s online channel.

Nishino expressed joy, stating, “We are miraculously expecting a baby.” She added that she is due in October and is already in a stable stage of her pregnancy.

Nishino and Yamamoto announced their marriage in November 2022, surprising many due to their significant age difference.

On April 4th, Nishino announced through her online channel that she and her husband were preparing for pregnancy. “I want to become a mother,” she shared, emphasizing her dream of becoming one.

Nishino recalled that it was not good to talk about wanting a child in a marriage. She explained that it can put pressure on the couple and make them think a lot. As a result, both she and her husband Yamamoto avoided talking about having a child.

Gathering her courage, Nishino confided her true feelings to her husband. She said, “I even thought about going to the gynecologist and getting checked out by myself. But carrying the burden of infertility alone is very hard,” confessing her inner thoughts that had been building up to Yamamoto.

In response to his wife’s words, Yamamoto said, “We’ve been married for a year now, and the wedding is over,” and thought, “Next, we should try to get pregnant.” Nishino expressed her gratitude, saying, “(My husband) said he would make efforts together with me.”

Voices of support continue to pour in for Nishino and Yamamoto, who look forward to new life in October.

Nishino Miki is a former member of the Japanese idol group AKB48. She graduated from the group after her graduation performance at the AKB theater in March 2017.
