Too Close for Comfort: Actress Discusses Brother’s Extreme Protective Measures

Actress Satomi Shigemori (35) revealed that she had her cell phone inspected by her older brother.

On the 22nd (local time), during the Nippon TV talk show Ueda and Women’s Barking Night, Satomi Shigemori shared a story about her older brother’s overprotectiveness. The show’s theme was stories tied to the birth older of siblings.

Satomi revealed that she is the youngest of three siblings. She confessed, “My brother was overprotective of me.”

She recounted anecdotes of her brother’s overprotectiveness since elementary school. “When I entered elementary school, my brother would go around the school saying, ‘If you bother Satomi, I’ll kill you,'” she recalled. The other guests on the show reacted with astonishment, exclaiming, “That’s crazy,” and “That’s shocking.”

Satomi lamented, “My older brother would check my cell phone so I couldn’t even date. I once dated someone secretly, but when my brother saw the messages I exchanged with my boyfriend, he broke my phone.” She added, “I think he broke it about twice.”

Satomi Shigemori made her debut in 2006 and has since appeared on various programs becoming a well-known public figure. She especially gained a lot of popularity as a model for the adult magazine Gravure.

In Korea, she is known for her appearance on Channel W‘s observational entertainment program Women’s Story Lab.
