Recently, Hathaway shared a video explaining that she uses a hairpin to make her lips look fuller.

In the video, Hathaway stated, “We get on the set, and I take a look at the monitor, and I noticed, I thought my upper lip looked, I don’t know, just a little wilted.”
She then demonstrated how to plump her lips by gently tapping them with the pointed end of a hairpin. She explained that the method is intended for circulation and warned that it’s possible to overdo it. Hathaway continued, “You can push too hard. It’s meant to be a gentle process that you don’t do for 30 seconds. You shouldn’t stab yourself. If you’ve drawn blood, you’ve gone too far.”
