BTS member Jin has been named Global Ambassador for Gucci.

BTS member Jin has been appointed a global ambassador for the Italian luxury brand Gucci. The announcement was made this morning. Jin will join other current Gucci global ambassadors, including singer IU, actor Lee Jung Jae, and NewJeans’ Hanni.

Recently, Jin made headlines as a representative of South Korea in the Paris Olympics torch relay. He has been actively engaging in various projects since his military discharge. The day after his discharge, he held a fan event where he greeted fans with hugs, and news of upcoming content he has filmed has heightened fan excitement.

Before his Gucci appointment, Jin was named a global ambassador for the luxury jewelry brand Fred, marking a significant career milestone. He is also set to appear on the MBC variety show The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island, further fueling fan anticipation.

In contrast to Jin’s recent achievements, BTS member Suga made headlines yesterday after being charged with drunk driving on an electric scooter. According to police, Suga was found alone after falling from the scooter in the Yongsan District the previous day. When officers arrived to assist him, they detected the smell of alcohol and subsequently took him to a nearby station.

Under the Road Traffic Act, electric scooters are classified as motorized bicycles, and violations are subject to the same penalties as drunk driving in automobiles.

Before his enlistment, Suga hosted a talk show, “Suchwita.” The show used alcohol and music to engage in candid conversations with individuals from various fields, featuring many stars sharing honest and open discussions.

Suga entered the Nonsan Army Training Center in South Chungcheong Province in March for basic military training and is currently serving as a social service worker. His expected discharge date is June 2025.

While Suga and Jin are both members of BTS, they received drastically different news on the same day. One experienced joy, while the other faced difficulty, leaving fans both surprised and saddened by the stark contrast in their fortunes.
