However, RM promptly deleted the post, likely in response to the controversy surrounding his bandmate Suga’s recent DUI incident.
Some people criticized RM, questioning whether he was simply looking out for himself while his bandmate faced trouble and if he was unaware of the situation. Others defended him, suggesting that he might not have been aware of the ongoing issues due to his military service and questioning the fairness of holding him accountable for Suga’s actions.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday night, Suga was stopped by police around 11 PM in Hannam-dong, Yongsan District, while riding an electric scooter under the influence. His blood alcohol concentration was above the 0.08% limit for license suspension, resulting in a fine and the revocation of his license.
In response, Suga explained on his channel, “After drinking at a dinner the previous night, I rode an electric scooter home. I thought the short distance made it acceptable and didn’t realize that riding an electric scooter while drunk is prohibited. I fell off the scooter while trying to park it at my front gate.” He added, “Although there were no damages or injuries, I take full responsibility and sincerely apologize to everyone.”
Suga is also a social service agent who is expected to be discharged in June of next year.
