Fans were surprised to see 2NE1 and NewJeans together on social media when 2NE1 member CL posted a photo of herself with 2NE1’s Gong Min Ji and NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, and Danielle.

They appeared to meet on August 23 at Kanye West’s Ye x Ty Dolla Sign Vultures Listening Experience at the Goyang Sports Complex.

NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, and Danielle drew attention for attending the age-restricted concert, while underaged members Haerin and Hyein could not participate.

Many fans were excited to see 2NE1 and NewJeans together, commenting on how great it felt to see the two groups in the same photo. They were both girl groups that won both Rookie of the Year and Grand Prize awards.

2NE1 will celebrate their 15th anniversary with a sold-out Welcome Back concert from October 4 to 6 at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul. Following their concert in Seoul, 2NE1 will continue their tour in Kobe, Japan, at the end of November and in Tokyo in early December.
