The YouTube channel VIVOTV recently released a video titled “Take a Ride with Shin Hye Sun & Lee Jin Wook.” The video features Shin Hye Sun and Lee Jin Wook, who starred together in the original Genie TV series Dear Hyeri.
Returning to the melodrama genre after a considerable hiatus, Lee Jin Wook shared, “I was nervous to come back, and it felt strange to film typical scenes again. After working on projects filled with action and intense situations, it was initially awkward to focus on everyday life.”
Lee Jin Wook also mentioned, “I’ve heard from many, including industry insiders and friends, that I would be a great match with Hye Sun. I was really looking forward to filming with her.” In response, Shin Hye Sun remarked, “I believed that if anyone could take on this role, it had to be Jin Wook.”
Later in the video, host Song Eun Yi asked Lee Jin Wook, “I’ve heard you say you don’t consider yourself good-looking.” He replied, “I get asked that question a lot and genuinely believe it. It all depends on the standards you apply. Among my friends, I think I’m the best-looking.” He added, “I often reflect on the context behind such questions, assuming that all actors look as good as I do.” He concluded, “I know I’m good-looking. I’m aware of that.”
Hearing this, Shin Hye Sun laughed and said, “What must it be like to live a life where you’re always asked those questions? I’ve never received questions about my appearance.” In response, Song Eun Yi quickly followed up, and Shin Hye Sun replied, “I think I’m pretty. I have a nice face. While I may not be a breathtaking beauty, I believe I’m decent-looking.”
