BTS’s J-Hope recently provided an update for fans as he nears his military discharge. On Wednesday, he posted a series of photos on his social media account, captioning them, “It’s October. I organized this in a very even way. See you on discharge day. Enjoy it!”
The photos showcase a charming J-Hope, who grew out his hair during his discharge. He is seen enjoying his time off while wearing trendy, stylish outfits that highlight his status as a top idol.
J-Hope also shared photos from a concert he attended, where he celebrated his fellow artist’s world tour. Additionally, he has been recognized for his generosity, having fully funded a social event for his fellow soldiers.
An online community shared images of nine soldiers holding a banner featuring J-Hope’s photo. The banner read, “Sponsorship and support for Sergeant Jeong Ho Seok and the Basic Military Training Battalion’s group outing: BTS J-Hope.”
A speech bubble drawn over J-Hope’s photo drew attention with the words, “You all worked hard, guys. I’ll treat you, so have fun! Loyalty!” It has been reported that J-Hope fully funded the social event, prompting his fellow soldiers to create a banner expressing their gratitude.
J-Hope enlisted in the military on April 18 last year and has served as a drill instructor in the Army’s 36th Infantry Division. He is scheduled to be discharged on October 17th.
Currently, all BTS members except Jin are serving in the military, with Suga, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook expected to be discharged by June of next year.
The monthly salary for soldiers in South Korea is 1,250,000 KRW (approximately $935), and it will gradually increase to 1,500,000 KRW (about $1,120) by 2025.
