Netflix has confirmed the production of Season 2 of Culinary Class Wars. The streaming giant announced on Tuesday on its official account, “We will return evenly for Season 2,” teasing an even fiercer culinary competition ahead. Season 2 is set to be released in the second half of next year.

In this upcoming season, the creative team from Studio Slam, including directors Kim Hak Min and Kim Eun Ji, along with writer Mo Eun Seol, will once again collaborate to elevate the culinary showdown. Kim Hak Min and Kim Eun Ji expressed their gratitude, stating, “Thanks to our viewers, we are able to continue to Season 2. We will strive to meet your expectations and show our appreciation.”

Culinary Class Wars has captivated audiences worldwide with its unprecedented challenges and dynamic format, reminiscent of both a sports competition and a martial arts epic. The intense rivalry among passionate black-and-white chefs, its grand scale, and unpredictable twists have created an exhilarating viewing experience. At the heart of the show is a fierce journey to discover the best flavors, featuring South Korea’s top restauranteur and culinary mentor, Paik Jong Won, alongside Chef Ahn Sung Jae from the country’s only Michelin 3-star restaurant, Mosu Seoul.

The show has also made waves in the South Korean market. Shortly after its release, Culinary Class Wars ignited a nationwide craze, ranking first for three consecutive weeks in the combined TV survey conducted by Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex. It also topped the September survey by Korean Gallup for Programs Koreans Like marking a significant milestone as the first OTT variety show to achieve this.

Meanwhile, Netflix is preparing to launch a lineup of fresh and diverse entertainment shows following the success of Culinary Class Wars. Upcoming titles, including Comedy Revenge, Zombieverse: New Blood, and Strongest Rugby: Die or Win, generate excitement as they highlight the captivating world of K-cooking survival.
