Lee Hong Ki, who ignited controversy with his comments defending FT Island member Choi Min Hwan, has shared a glimpse into his peaceful daily life.

On Sunday, FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki posted two photos on social media with the caption, “This winter is ‘Love is like that.'”

In the photos, Lee Hong Ki is seen smiling warmly as he poses affectionately with fellow artist Oh Jong Hyuk, with their arms around each other. “Love is like that” is a solo song previously released by Oh Jong Hyuk. By promoting his senior’s track, Lee Hong Ki demonstrated a heartwarming sense of camaraderie.

Recently, Lee Hong Ki faced backlash after making comments that seemed to defend his bandmate Choi Min Hwan, who is under suspicion in a prostitution scandal. Despite the controversy, he continues to share glimpses of his calm daily life, drawing attention.

Choi Min Hwan recently became embroiled in allegations after his ex-wife, Yulhee, revealed the reasons for their divorce. Yulhee released an audio recording featuring Choi Min Hwan, in which he is heard saying, “There are really no girls (in Seoul’s Gangnam area) today. There are extremely few. I guess there aren’t any elsewhere either?” and “I want to have fun.” Following this revelation, Choi Min Hwan suspended all media activities, including his current appearances.

Amidst this, on Friday, Lee Hong Ki expressed his thoughts on the fan community platform Weverse, stating, “It was their private matter, and it has turned out like this. We must acknowledge the mistakes and apologize sincerely. Still, we shouldn’t all believe everything too easily. I have to endure and hold on; that’s our role. What I can do is move forward while taking hits like a stone.” This comment led to criticism, suggesting that he defended Choi Min Hwan.

A fan posted on Weverse the next day, “No one wants to support someone who frequently visits places like that,” Lee Hong Ki responded, “If it’s not that kind of place, can you take responsibility for what you’re saying?” This sparked controversy. As public sentiment turned negative, Lee Hong Ki deleted both posts.
