Product designer and broadcaster Kim Chung Jae has publicly shown his support for his girlfriend, actress Jung Eun Chae, as she stars in the hit TV series Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born.

On Sunday, Kim posted a clip of Jung Eun Chae’s scene from the popular weekend drama, sharing a moment from her performance with his followers.

Jung Eun Chae plays the role of the crown prince Moon Ok Kyung in Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born. In the clip shared by Kim, she’s seen in an elaborate costume, playing out a pivotal scene in which her character navigates a fool and princess dynamic. Kim, who has been in a public relationship with Jung Eun Chae since March 2024, confirmed his support by tuning into the live broadcast of Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born, cheering her on from afar.

The couple, both born in 1986, has been open about their relationship, which has garnered attention for its sweet public moments. Jung Eun Chae’s agency confirmed their romance in March, noting that the two are in the early stages of their relationship and are getting to know each other. Before their official announcement, they were already showing signs of affection on social media, liking each other’s posts and sharing photos, often engaging in what’s affectionately known as social media love posts. Even after acknowledging their relationship, the couple continues to share intimate moments on social media, further capturing the hearts of fans. 

Kim Chung Jae first gained widespread attention in 2017 when he appeared on MBC’s I Live Alone as an aspiring artist alongside Kian84. Known for his good looks and easy-going personality, Kim quickly became a favorite on the variety show.

Meanwhile, Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born continues to rise in popularity, recently achieving record-breaking viewership ratings. Episode 10 of the drama recorded an average viewership of 14.3% in the Seoul metropolitan area, with a peak of 15.4%. Nationwide, the episode averaged 14.1%, with a high of 15.5%. The drama has consistently topped the ratings in its time slot across all channels, including major networks. With only two episodes left until its finale, Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born is building momentum as it heads toward its conclusion.
