BLACKPINK’s Rosé faced off against fiery chicken wings in the latest episode of Hot Ones, the popular food challenge series on the YouTube channel First We Feast. The K-pop star appeared as a guest on Friday’s episode, where she tackled 10 increasingly spicy wings while answering various questions.

Hot Ones is a unique interview series that combines celebrity interviews with a fiery challenge. Each guest has ten wings, each coated in progressively hotter sauces. The show has featured A-list celebrities like Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake, Scarlett Johansson, and Margot Robbie. The heat level starts with a relatively mild sauce at 1,700 Scoville Heat Units (SHU) and escalates to sauces reaching millions of SHU.

Before taking on the challenge, Rosé confidently declared, “Koreans are known for handling spicy food well.” She breezed through the first level, claiming it wasn’t spicy at all. The BLACKPINK member smoothly sailed through levels two (6,900 SHU) to six (71,000 SHU), keeping her cool and making the experience look easy. However, the heat picked up significantly at level seven (133,000 SHU), and Rosé began showing signs of distress—tearing napkins and clutching a toy for comfort. Despite the mounting intensity, Rosé powered through all ten levels, including the blazing final sauce, which hit a blistering 2.69 million SHU, solidifying her status as a spice challenge champ.

In other news, Rosé’s collaboration with pop sensation Bruno Mars, “APT,” has soared to the top of the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) and Global 200 charts, holding the number-one spot for two consecutive weeks.

“APT” is the pre-release single from Rosé’s highly anticipated debut solo album. The track draws inspiration from a popular Korean drinking game of the same name. With its catchy beat and Bruno Mars’s signature touch, “APT” has resonated widely with listeners, earning praise for its unique sound. Rosé also shared a lighthearted behind-the-scenes story about the song’s creation, revealing that she wasn’t sure if writing a song about a drinking game was appropriate. She even requested the production team delete it from their phones, but they were already hooked.
