Google Founder’s Scandalous Divorce is Heading Another Direction

Google co-founder Brin
He divorced his wife after an alleged affair with his best friend
Accused of having an affair with Elon Musk

The New York Post

Google co-founder Sergey Brin has finalized his divorce.

Brin’s now ex-wife, Nicole Shanahan, was caught up in infidelity rumors involving Tesla CEO Elon Musk, a close friend of Brin’s.

In January of the previous year, Brin filed for divorce in Santa Clara County, California, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that Musk “apologized to his longtime friend on bended knee, concerning these allegations.”

Although people speculated about Shanahan and Musk’s relationship, both denied the affair rumors.

After drifting apart due to the affair rumors, the couple legally separated after 4 years and 6 months of marriage.

This marks Brin’s second divorce.

In 2007, Brin married Anne Wojcicki, the founder of biotech company “23andMe.” The couple became a talked-about billionaire duo in Silicon Valley. However, after frequent marital disputes and years of living apart, they divorced in 2015.

At the time, a media outlet described Brin’s separation as “the world’s most expensive divorce.” With Brin’s second divorce, there’s been a heightened interest in the division of assets and the alimony amount Nicole Shanahan will receive.

The division of assets between Sergey Brin and Nicole Shanahan and attorney fees were decided based on the prenuptial agreement. They made additional agreements regarding supporting their 4-year-old daughter but have not disclosed the details and amounts.
