Set Malfunction Sparks Blaze at Aespa’s Music Video Shoot

According to broadcasting officials, a fire broke out the morning of May 16th inside the CJ ENM filming studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, canceling Aespa’s scheduled pre-recording for their highly anticipated comeback.

The fire reportedly started due to a problem with the set used for filming M Countdown.

Following the incident, the members, including Winter who recently had a recovery period after surgery, complained of poor health conditions, leading to the cancellation of their pre-recording schedule.

Aespa fans expressed concerns and shock as news of the incident spread, asking if the members were okay, and how the situation was managed.

Concerning the incident, M Countdown representatives stated, “Winter needs rest and stability due to her poor health condition. Today’s live broadcast of M Countdown will only feature Karina, Giselle, and Ningning.”

“Winter’s participation in activities will be decided depending on her recovery.”

Aespa was scheduled to perform for their double title track “Supernova” from their first full-length album on M Countdown that day.

Ahead of the release of their first full-length album, Aespa’s double title track “Supernova”, which was released on May 13th, has successfully warmed up by reaching the top of both domestic and international music charts.

“Supernova” has gained global popularity by topping music charts in countries including Korea, China, and Japan.
