ING Names New Country Manager for South Korea: Meet Helen Hae-youne Jung!

ING's Country Manager for South Korea Helen Hae-youne Jung (ING)]Global finance giant ING has tapped a veteran corporate and investment banking expert as its new country manager for South Korea, the company announced Tuesday.

Helen Hae-youne Jung, who previously headed the corporate coverage group at BNP Paribas Korea, will spearhead ING’s wholesale banking strategy in the country. Her role will focus on deepening strategic partnerships and advancing financing solutions.

Jung brings over 27 years of experience in wholesale banking at global investment banks to her new position. According to ING, she played a crucial role in expanding BNP Paribas Korea’s global corporate business. Her impressive resume also includes stints at HSBC and Mizuho Corporate Bank.

Earlier in her career, Jung cut her teeth as an investment banker at JP Morgan Securities. There, she was involved in orchestrating mergers and acquisitions, as well as equity and debt capital market transactions across various sectors including automotive, shipbuilding, energy, and metals.

ING, headquartered in the Netherlands, has maintained a full banking license in South Korea since 1991. The company expanded its presence in 2016 by establishing a securities branch in Seoul, offering a suite of financial solutions tailored to the local market.
