Connecting the World: China Launches Major Supply Chain Expo in Beijing

BEIJING, July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Third China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) launched today in Beijing with a grand opening ceremony. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) unveiled the Beijing Initiative for the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo, collaborating with global business leaders. The event drew a diverse crowd of over 1,100 attendees from more than 100 countries, regions, and international organizations. Prominent speakers included South African Deputy President Paul Mashatile, Thailand’s Deputy Permanent Secretary of Commerce Ekachat Seetavorarat, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang, International Chamber of Commerce Secretary General John W.H. Denton, China-Britain Business Council Chair Sherard Cowper-Coles, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Chairman Liao Lin.

CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin presided over the ceremony, highlighting the Expo’s expanded international participation, refined supply chain structure, and enhanced focus on innovation. Ren called on the global business community to unite in supporting the World Trade Organization’s multilateral trade system through proactive collaboration. He pledged CCPIT’s continued support for both domestic and international companies, emphasizing the importance of maintaining industrial and supply chains as a global public good to foster an open global economy and shared future for humanity.

The 3rd CISCE, hosted by CCPIT, runs from July 16 to 20 under the theme Connecting the World for a Shared Future. The event has garnered support from five major international organizations: the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the International Trade Centre (ITC), and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Thailand takes center stage as the Guest Country of Honor, while Shandong and Guangdong provinces shine as Guest Provinces of Honor. This year’s Expo showcases six key industrial chains and a dedicated exhibition area: Advanced Manufacturing, Smart Vehicles, Green Agriculture, Clean Energy, Digital Technology, Healthy Life, and Supply Chain Services. The event has attracted 651 companies and organizations from 75 countries and regions, with international exhibitors making up an impressive 35 percent of participants. Attendees can expect to see cutting-edge technologies, products, and services spanning the entire supply chain spectrum.
