Meet the New Face of Ocean Education: Professor Tit Meng Lim Takes the Helm at OceanX

Renowned science educator and STEM champion to spearhead OceanX Education’s Asian expansion

SINGAPORE, July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — OceanX Education announces the appointment of Professor Tit Meng Lim as its new APAC Regional Executive Director. Based in Singapore, Prof. Lim will drive the organization’s growth across Asia, steering strategic vision, fostering regional partnerships, and overseeing organizational development at a critical juncture for ocean literacy and environmental engagement.

A luminary in science education and public outreach, Prof. Lim brings over three decades of leadership experience spanning academia, government-affiliated institutions, and global science networks. Most recently, as Chief Executive of the Science Centre Singapore, he spearheaded national efforts to promote STEM innovation and transformed science education into dynamic, community-centered experiences.

Prof. Lim’s illustrious career includes over 20 years in leadership roles at the National University of Singapore. As Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science, he was instrumental in crafting interdisciplinary science curricula and advancing life sciences education. His influence extends globally through his board leadership in organizations like the Asia Pacific Network of Science & Technology Centres and the Association of Science-Technology Centres (ASTC).
