Eastar Jet has recently inaugurated a direct flight connecting Busan, a major South Korean city, with Almaty, a key urban center in Kazakhstan.

The inaugural flight, ZE935, departed from Gimhae International Airport on July 15 using a Boeing 737 aircraft.

During this seven-hour journey, 120 passengers—including tourists, students, and transit travelers from Kazakhstan, Korea, and other regions—were transported, as reported by the Kazakh Embassy in Seoul to The Korea Herald.

With the introduction of this Busan–Almaty connection, the total number of weekly flights between Kazakhstan and Korea has risen to 20, reflecting a growing demand for travel, according to embassy officials.

The embassy also emphasized that Kazakhstan’s diplomatic missions are fully engaged in supporting the expansion of additional direct air routes.

The launch event was attended by distinguished figures, including Askar Aslan, the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Busan; Lee Sang-hoon, the Honorary Consul; and key representatives from Eastar Jet.
