Jungkook of BTS hit 500 million streams on Spotify with “Dreamers,” label Big Hit Music said Tuesday, citing data from the platform.
It is his fifth solo endeavor to achieve the feat, following “Seven (feat. Latto),” “Standing Next to You,” “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)” and Charlie Puth collaboration “Left and Right.”
“Dreamers” was released in November 2022 as part of the official soundtrack for 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar and landed atop the iTunes Top Songs chart in 102 regions. On Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart, it ranked No. 2.
The artist has amassed over 9.7 billion plays on Spotify through his solo account, a first for a K-pop solo singer, and did so in the shortest time for an Asian performer. Jungkook is also the first Asian solo act to have four songs with more than 1 billion streams each.
