Chinese actress Tang Ling who overcame stage 4 stomach cancer has revealed that she is unable to gain weight despite her doctor’s recommendation due to the pressure of maintaining her figure as an actress.
On the 8th, foreign media ‘ETtoday’ reported on the recent condition of Chinese actress Tang Ling who had battled stage 4 stomach cancer.
Tang Ling who overcame stage 4 stomach cancer said, “I am currently 5 feet 5 inches tall. I was advised by my doctor to gain weight up to 121 pounds, but I still feel pressure as an actress and want to maintain a feminine figure,” she said, consistently managing her figure. She added, “I plan to intensify power walking, jogging, stretching, and high-intensity training,” showing her passion for exercise. She also said, “I changed my diet after stomach removal surgery. I pay attention to the order of my meals. I consume protein first, then fruits and vegetables,” talking about her changed diet after surgery.
Tang Ling said, “I had my uterus and ovaries removed for stomach cancer treatment. From this point, menopause began and I started suffering from osteoporosis and cardiovascular diseases,” she candidly revealed her health status explaining the reason for her consistent health management.
Tang Ling also revealed her financial difficulties. She said, “I can only work about 5 hours a day now. There are financial difficulties, but I will move forward step by step,” expressing her will for active activities.
Meanwhile, in 2019, Tang Ling was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer and received a prognosis of three to six months from her doctor, but she successfully treated the cancer.
