A Texas mother’s arrest after intervening in her son’s bullying situation is making national headlines.

New York Post reports that Jennifer Lynn Rossi was alarmed after her 11-year-old son confided in her about being bullied at school. He reportedly told her a friend kept stealing his water bottle.

Upset about her son’s bullying situation, Jennifer decided to fill his water bottle for school with lemonade, salt, vinegar, and a sports drink.

As Jennifer expected, the friend ended up consuming it, experiencing nausea, vomiting, and headaches soon after. The friend was then taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Fortunately, no toxins were found in the friend’s examination.

Jennifer now faces charges of child endangerment after being released on bail. Her trial is scheduled for April.

Jennifer maintained that her actions weren’t meant to harm the child and would accept full responsibility for the incident.

The news of the mother’s actions has been widely shared online, with mixed reactions from the public.

Some defended Jennifer, arguing, “She was just trying to protect her son! She didn’t use violence, and it could have been worse if it was my child.” Others praised her protectiveness, saying, “She deserves a great mother award.” Others expressed concern about Jennifer’s actions, suggesting, “It might be too much. The friend who bullied him is wrong, but giving him something potentially harmful isn’t the answer.”
