A 20-year-old woman discovered a shocking secret about her birth after using a DNA test kit she received as a birthday gift.
After her mother passed away at a young age due to health issues, she formed a close bond with her father.
She also maintained a decent moderate with her uncle, who lived an hour away, meeting him every few months.
However, she recently received a 23andMe DNA test kit as a birthday gift from a friend and decided to take the test for fun. To her surprise, the results were shocking.
It turns out she was not her father’s daughter but her uncle’s daughter.
According to the additional test results, the data classified her uncle as her father and her cousins (the two sons of her uncle) as her half-brothers.
This result shocked both the woman and her father. They tried to verify if the test was incorrect, but the results remained the same after multiple checks.
The woman’s father was even more shocked. The woman said, “My dad really loved my mom and always spoke highly of her to me,” adding that “he is very saddened by this situation.”
Since the incident, the father and daughter have stopped talking.
