Chinese actress Xia Yiwei recently recounted a terrifying experience where she narrowly avoided a traffic accident.
According to the online entertainment news outlet Sanli Entertainment News, Xia Yiwei took to social media to share the harrowing details of the incident.
Xia Yiwei described, “My close friend and I came dangerously close to a fatal accident one night. I was riding a bicycle with my friend, and we suddenly heard an incredibly loud noise as we were about to cross the street.”
She continued, “When I turned to see what caused the noise, I spotted a garbage truck. It was less than 2 meters away from us. From the moment we heard the noise to when the truck slammed on the brakes, only about 3 seconds passed. It was a close call.”
At the time, Xia Yiwei instinctively screamed, reportedly alerting the garbage truck driver, distracted by his phone. The driver immediately applied the brakes.
She explained that she observed the traffic light switch from red to green as they crossed the intersection. Since the incident occurred at night, she was unsure whether a garbage truck or another type of vehicle was involved.
Reflecting on the event, she remarked, “I never imagined that my tendency to get scared easily and scream would one day be crucial in saving my life.”
Meanwhile, fans love Xia Yiwei for her stunning looks and figure. Earlier this year, she faced personal loss as her father passed away at the age of 70 due to a myocardial infarction.
