A woman who was banned from a flight for allegedly having sex with a man on the plane has taken to social media to reveal that she is a lesbian.

According to Daily Mail, 24-year-old Erin Wright claimed she was banned from flying with American Airlines in June.

At the time, Wright tried to check in for a flight to New Orleans. However, gate staff informed her that she was banned from boarding and her check-in could not be processed.

Confused by the situation, Wright sought clarification from the staff, who apologized but explained that they could not disclose any information due to internal security issues. Despite her subsequent attempt to get answers by calling customer service, she has not received any clarification.

Ultimately, Wright contacted customer support via email. She spent an additional $1,000 on a ticket with another airline and waited 8 hours for her new flight at the airport.

Later, she received an email from customer support stating that her flight ban was due to “having sexual relations with a man on a flight while intoxicated.”

Wright said, “It took 12 days and many emails from me between when I contacted customer relations to when I actually got an email back,” and still on the no-fly list.

She added, “I email them a very serious email, but also somewhat funny because in it I am like “I don’t really know how to prove it wasn’t me except for the fact that I am literally a lesbian.”

Wright’s mother contacted American Airlines’ legal department three months later. The airline removed Wright from the no-fly list and refunded approximately $500 for her original flight.
